AMD Users Watch: Nvidia and Ubisoft Partnership Extensions

Nvidia and Ubisoft are working together to bring realism in the world of virtual games.

The Facts

The partnership will take effect in some games which include Far Cry 4, Tom Clancy's: The divison, Assassin's Creed Unity and The Crew. The games will benefit from Nvidia TXAA technology which offers soft shadows, horizon-based ambient occlusion, advanced DX11 tessellation and Nvidia PhysX technology. Temporal Anti-Aliasing or simply TXAA, finds ways to reduce or remove the amount of temporal aliasing. Temporal aliasing is caused by a slow no. of FPS or simply stuttering when the GPU renders graphics of various objects in the scene. Previously, this partnership took effect in a number of games including Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Assassin's Creed IV.

The Future

So now, the people loyal to AMD should be really disappointed, especially seeing the 'optimization' done for Watch Dogs. If it were something like this then they'd be fine with it:

AMD - Average
Nvidia - Optimized

But actually, its like this:
AMD - Poorly Optimized
Nvidia Optimized

The Verdict

So, if you like Ubisoft games, then its time to move on to Nvidia, unless you aren't disturbed by lag spikes.
