Hey all! Recently we received word from IO Interactive, that
in the month of May, we should be getting some tasty new details about the next
Hitman Game. Well, the month if almost over, and we still haven’t got any news.
Though yesterday we learned that hope is still there…!
However this post is not about the news and stuff regarding
Hitman, this is more of a wish list, a wish list for what we want in the Next
Hitman Game. Let’s get cracking!
(Be warned, the post may get ridiculous)
We promised an update on IOI's new Hitman game in May and now we're in the last week of May...

The Name
We all want a new dashing name for the game, don’t we? I
agree that this might seem weird to add in a wish list, but why not? We could
possibly be getting the name by the 31st.
I would personally want something that we can remember
easily, something that everyone can say, and something that will live on. Let’s
have a look at the previous names…
Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman: Silent Assassin
Hitman: Contracts
Hitman: Blood Money
Hitman: Absolution
Hitman: ???
Now, obviously SA was not easy to say, especially for a series
that wasn’t that well known back then. I personally like Blood Money and
Absolution. Simple and to the point. Here are a few names that I DO NOT want…
Hitman:…
World
The Assassin (or any variation, silent assassin, legendary
assassins etc)
The Agency
All Aboard
Obviously some of them don’t make sense at all, a name
similar to Absolution (an adjective of some kind) would definitely suite. It might even be Profession.
The Weapons
Alright, to me, Absolution was filled with a lot of ‘tools’
especially melee. I don’t think that the devs should add a lot of miniguns and
pistols. Instead they should focus of more silent weapons, like a long ranged
sniper rifle (more on that later), and useable objects (for kills or knockouts)
like vases, bricks, cell phones, toilet seats etc
Another thing that can be thrown in the weapons section, is
destructible environment being used to kill. You know how in Blood Money, you
would rig bombs to winches and latches to drop something huge on the target?
MORE OF THAT. Not just for the target, but in eavery level, several times. We
could use them as distractions or killing machines.
The Levels
This is by far the most important; I hated the levels in
Absolution. There, I said it. Believe it or not, the game world felt a lot more
‘real’ at times in the small maps of Blood Money. The problem I noticed was
that the levels were connected via checkpoint based doors and elevators, it
didn’t matter what you’d done previously, everything just got back to normal
the instant you crossed that door.
Another thing was that the user activated checkpoint system
was flawed; it didn’t even record the kills properly. Please bring back the
manual save system, at least you start where you saved.
The maps neep tp be large, and diverse. I would really want
to be able to use a sniper rifle to shoot the head off of a guard without
anyone even getting a clue of what happened.
The Story
The story of Absolution was great, however, as we’ve been
told, we’re heading back to 47’s prime time, back when he was with the agency
and was roaming the world. I can’t predict the story, but it wouldn’t hurt to
get more back story for 47, food for thought.
