This unexpected news came today, the company announced that from the 1st of April, Jack Tretton, who has been the face of the company for about 2 decades will be leaving his post.
The current CEO is stepping down effective 31st March. The new CEO and President of SCEA is going to be none other than Shawn Layden, the current COO and vice president. The move doesn't seem logical at first site but we will have to wait, to find out. Tretton said in a statement:

I leave PlayStation in a position of considerable strength and the future will only get brighter for PlayStation Nation.”
