Its Official - Titanfall Runs at 792p on Xbox One

During the beta code release, the Xbox One version of the new game, Titanfall, was running at a resolution of 792p. It was rumoured that before the final release the resolution would be taken higher (up to 1080p). Now it has been confirmed that the game still runs at 792p on the Xbox One.

The Quote

"We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimise... we don't want to give up anything for higher res. So far we're not 100 per cent happy with any of the options, we're still working on it. For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship."

The Reaction

For many people this is a little disappointing, but to tell you folks the truth, if they have to sacrifice the resolution (which isn't THAT noticeable to begin with), to improve the visuals. Then I'm sure that we'd prefer the visuals. However, it is to note, that this is a brand new generation, and if games being developed at this time of the generation need to be dumbed down, then who knows what will happen when things start getting really hot,
